The NEED TO KNOW this week was Take off Lying and Put on Truth. We talked over many scenarios where a child would struggle with lying. Our Bible lesson was about Ananias and Sapphira and how they lied and what the consequences were. Watch below.

MEMORY VERSE for Hi-Yah! Series:

Ephesians 4:23-24 You must be made new in your hearts and in your thinking. Be that new person who was made to be like God, truly good and pleasing to Him.

Restore Kidz Update

We had a great series this month. We learned how to GROW our friendship with the lord by reading our Bible, praying and worshiping Him. This month we had so many amazing things happen! We had kids baptized, kids bringing friends to church and kids helping other kids learn their verse and Need To Know. It is so good to see them show love to each other while they worship Jesus.

New Series starts this Sunday!

In this series, we will learn how to be made new in our hearts and in our thinking as we take off the bad habits of the old self and train to put on the new self. Our hope is that kids will see how to be that new person who was made to be like God, truly good and pleasing to Him. This series is 8 weeks long.

This week we focused on WORSHIP. After the Lord’s Supper they went to the mountain to sing. This was right before Jesus was to be betrayed and crucified. Jesus chose to praise God in trials…so should we! We GROW our friendship with God when we worship Him. The Need To Know this week was I CAN WORSHIP GOD.

Worship with your child today. Sing God’s praises everywhere you go!

During this series SNOWY RIDGE we are teaching your child the steps in GROWing their friendship with God. This week’s NEED TO KNOW was I CAN READ GOD’S WORD. This is the second step in growing your friendship with God. We talked about the things we need to survive Winter. We played a game as well. See pictures below. We then discussed that we need the Bible to help us survive being a Christian that pleases our Lord.

THINGS TO ASK:

Why do you think it’s important for us to read God’s Word?

If you don’t understand something you read in the Bible, who can you ask for help?

MEMORY VERSE for January

Psalm 63:1 “God. You are my God. I want to follow you.”

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

WE ARE EXCITED TO SEE WHAT GOD DOES IN 2020!

Look below for pictures of one of our best Sundays!

Monday, we taught your child that just like Jesus, we should get quiet every day to listen to what God wants to tell us! Our NEED TO KNOW was WE CAN GET QUIET. This is not telling them to be quiet, but to get quiet. Purposefully quiet themselves to be able to listen to what God has for them. We talked about Prayer and Bible reading. Encourage them to sit with you as you read your Bible (if you do not read your Bible everyday, this can be a great opportunity for you too)! Turn off the TV and put down your phone.

Ask them:

Why do you think getting quiet grows our friendship with God?

Where and when do you plan to spend time with God this week?

Help your child make a plan and stick to it!

MEMORY VERSE for January

Psalm 63:1 “God. You are my God. I want to follow you.”

What an amazing Sunday!

Two kids got baptized and we got to sing in church.

Restore Kidz Update

We had such an amazing December. We had so much fun in the Holly Jolly Kitchen. We learned about Jesus’ birth and how the angels came to both Mary and Joseph. We learned yesterday that when Jesus was about 12 he stayed behind to talk to the priest at the temple. He wanted to hear about his Father and ask questions.

The NEED TO KNOW for this week was I CAN BE LIKE JESUS. We can tell everyone about our Heavenly Father! We can listen to those who teach us about our Heavenly Father. Jesus knew that if he wanted to grow to love God and love others more, He had to spend time in God’s house and learning God’s Truth.

Join us next week as we start our new Session called Snowy Ridge.

Ready for Jesus’ birthday?

We had such a great Sunday in Restore Kids! We played games, learned how Mary and Joseph were visited by angels and obeyed. They traveled to Bethlehem with great faith.

The NEED TO KNOW for this week was I CAN CELEBRATE JESUS! We get to celebrate Jesus during the Christmas holiday AND every day! He deserves our praise.

We celebrated with lots of games and fun times together! They put whip cream on their noses and stuck their faces in marshmallows for a relay race. They unwrapped presents to reveal the NEED TO KNOW. They also played a game of “Santa Says”.

Somehow it rained marshmallows after our game! When it rains marshmallows you just have to put them in your mouth!

Christmas @ Restore

The lights are up. We’ve got carols ready. It’s hot chocolate season. Best of all, Jesus is coming! We look forward to Christmas every year, but can you imagine how excited people were before His birth? Don’t get me wrong, I love the decorations, meals and gifts etc. None of those awesome feelings last though. Jesus came not to bring a momentary festive spirit, but to conquer death, hell and fear. Come on y’all, that’s worth getting excited about. I’m pumped to celebrate Jesus’ birth 3 times as a church this year: Sunday (12.22) at 9:30/11am and Tuesday (12.24) at 6pm.

Bring your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers with you to one of our 3 Christmas services. We’ll sing Christmas songs, enjoy hot cocoa, a powerful Christmas message and celebrate the birth of Jesus together.

See y’all there

The countdown to Christmas is getting smaller.

You ready?

Ready to remember what Jesus has done for us?

Keep reading below to the end to see what exciting things will be happening December 29th in Kids!

The NEED TO KNOW for this week was God Has A Plan! We learned how Joseph was visited by an angel. God had a plan and because of Mary and Joseph’s obedience God could carry out His wonderful plan! The plan to bring Jesus down to earth as a baby to one day die for our sins so we could be with Him in Heaven. What a glorious plan!!
